The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies to upgrade equipment. They can be traded at the item upgraders NPCs Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to its maximum level only once for one slot. Then upgrades to that slot will be less expensive. The pity system, which was introduced with The War Within, also lowers the extreme upgrade variance.
Upgrades
Upgrades are elements that boost performance or add new features. They can be purchased or earned in many ways, such as in-game events and from cash shop items.
As opposed to Cases gg that can be applied to any item, upgrades are tied to specific items and are only applied to the items. A weapon that is already equipped can't have an upgrade applied. However, certain items can be upgraded multiple times, bringing better benefit to the user of the item.
The concept of upgrades is fairly new. It was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system allows players to combine additional improvements to equipment to increase its power, ranging from simple boosts in strength to massive damage and defense increases. Upgrades are organized into tracks and each track has its own limits on the maximum amount an item can be upgraded. These limits are designed to stop players from going through low-keystone dungeons, and then upgrading their equipment to the highest level.
Weapons, armor and consumables are all upgradeable. The majority of gear is upgraded as it drops but certain items (such as Ornn's gear, or the infant Dracolich pet) aren't upgradeable. The gear can be upgraded to higher levels by purchasing a recipe from the upgrade vendor, then combining it with an item that is in the appropriate upgrade slot. A player can see how many upgrades a piece of equipment is equipped with by looking at its inventory icon or by searching for that item in the shop.
The upgrade system has two major drawbacks. It can be difficult to identify what items are eligible for upgrade because upgrade vendors may not show all of them. In addition, upgrade textures are rendered above the model of the item, which can obscure the enchantment glint as well as other details.
The other drawback is that upgrades can be costly. Each step in a gear's degree of improvement costs a specific amount of Valorstones, or crests, based on the slot and the item level. Weapons generally require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than gloves or bracers, for example. There are however, a few cash shop items that can reduce the cost of upgrading.
Recycle
In the wake of growing awareness of how single-use items and consumption habits that are wasteful can contribute to environmental degradation, many people are shifting their shopping practices. This means that they're made from recycled or discarded materials and it's simple to buy recycled products online or in stores. In addition to helping the environment, these products are often more affordable than the alternatives.
As an item progresses in, it receives additional bonuses, in addition to its main stat gain. These bonuses are based on the tier, and can vary from one type of bonus to the next. The higher the tier, the greater bonuses you'll receive.

Rerolls
Rerolling is an essential feature in Genshin Impact, or any other gacha game. It allows players to re-try their chances at getting an item or character they prefer for aesthetic reasons or because they feel that it's a good fit on their team.
Rerolls allow players to refresh items available for the current waves in exchange for a tiny quantity of materials. Prices for these weapons rise as the number of rerolls grows but some items may not be available (for example, characters who only use ranged weaponry will not be able to access a melee item).
When an item is levelled up it moves into the Staple Pool and gains extra bonuses. These bonuses are based on kind of item it is. For instance an upgrade that increases a weapon's main stat can also boost its secondary stat. The additional stats can also change if the item is rerolled.
Once a player has enough stamina for the reroll, they can press a button using the arrows that circle to swap their current item for a new one. The new item will come with the same level, but will have a different set of extra bonuses, based on whether the previous item was a sword, gun or a watch.
Rerolling doesn't alter the bonus levels of an item. However, a player might still require the minimum requirements to qualify for a special ability. This can make it challenging to get a high-level item that has the bonus they want, but it does allow players to explore a different option in the future without having to invest more resources.
The item will get a tier bonus which guarantees that it will be able to gain some stats in the future. It is important to only upgrade your equipment as far as you can, since further upgrades will not make a difference.
Sets

It's an excellent way to increase the value of an item by adding an ideal or high-roll.
Upgraders for items differ for unique, set, and rare items. Typically, the item will be upgraded to its new base type after it is upgraded to level 10. For instance an upgrade of an item that has the highest defense roll will result in an elite armored item with the same type of base. It is not a sure result, but there are occasions when an upgrade will not alter the base item type.
It is recommended that players prioritise upgrading their BiS (Best in Slot) items first, before moving on to non-BiS items. This will give the player a solid base to build upon when they're trying to level up. Then, they can focus on increasing tiers and gaining additional stats.
